Event recap: Drink & Draw & Zine

On Saturday Mar 2 we held an event, organized by Femme Mâché, at the co-operative community space New Women Space. An ongoing series, Drink & Draw & Zine is an unconventional drawing session as it invites attendees to incorporate any media into their practice, including collage, poetry, and more.

We were so excited to welcome over 40 people to draw, sip drinks, and spend time at New Women Space. We were able to raise almost $700, the proceeds of which are benefitting Zinefest and supporting our efforts to give grants to tablers with need and traveling from afar.

Many thanks to New Women Space for opening their doors and to our incredible models, Caty, Jessie, and Pooja for stepping in!!

Event recap: Spoken Soup

This year we are hosting a number of events in partnership with non-profit and co-operative spaces in NYC in lead-up to the Zinefest. On Tuesday February 27th we welcomed over 30 wonderful people into Chinatown Soup – a non-profit gallery and creative community on Orchard Street with a socially-conscious mission. We had a range of attendees – some were members of our zinefest community, while others have attended events lead by Femme Mâché at Chinatown Soup or in other spaces. Words (and song) were shared, and all in all it was an evening of intimate connections in the spirit of zinemaking and collective dialogue.

We hope you’ll join us for our upcoming events, the details of which can be found here:
